Timothy Cho grew up in North Korea, which since the 1950s, has been an authoritarian, isolationist state where there is no freedom of religion.   

 Mike Wooldridge hears the story of how Timothy was left alone without his parents at the age of nine, when they defected; and how his own escape at the age of 17 led to a prison cell in Shanghai where he encountered Christianity for the first time. That is where he made a deal with God: that if he were freed, he would dedicate his life to his faith. 

Mike hears the story of Timothy’s escape, how he made his way to England, and how he has kept his side of the deal, and is now fighting for human rights in his home country with Christianity playing a central role in his life.
