  • This year CTVC sponsored the Grierson ‘CTVC Best Newcomer Documentary’ Award which was won by Shabash Production, Bungalow Town Productions for Storyville: Afghan Cricket Club – Out of the Ashes (BBC4). It traces the extraordinary journey of a team of young Afghan men as they chase a seemingly impossible dream, shedding light on a nation beyond burqas, bombs, drugs and devastation.

  • CTVC has secured a commission for long-running BBC arts strand Arena. Sister Wendy Becket will look at the gospel stories and reveal her own spiritual journey in the 60-minute The Greatest Story Ever Told, being made for Easter 2013.

  • CTVC has won its first children's commission - ordered by CBBC controller Damian Kavanagh - about a group of extraordinary boys who grow vegetables in a skip on on a construction site in Kings Cross, London. The six young entrepreneurs, aged between 13 and 15, sell their produce to local restaurants. Last year they made £280. This year they aim to make over £500. They have only 6 weeks. Will they succeed?
