Black British Stories

We made 10 short documentaries about 10 brilliant black individuals who have contributed to our economy, culture and history. A different young person interviews each of them, asking them about their life and discovering how it fits into a wider picture of a time in place and how it's affected society today.

Intended as learning tools for classroom use, each film is available on BBC Teach and 4 of the films were broadcast on CBBC across the first week of May 2021.

Winner of Best Online Resource at the Learning on Screen Awards 2022.

Nominated for the Young Audience Award at the Sandford St Martin Awards 2022.
