In this film from Channel 4's Dispatches, Christina Odone, feminist, fervent catholic and journalist, confronts an argument that could tear the Church apart. On a personal level Odone also has to address a contradiction in her own life, for although she is pro-women's rights, she remains opposed to women bishops.
Whichever way the vote goes, the church will be damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. A 'yes' could provoke a schism, while if the church votes 'no' it risks alienating the one group they need more than any other: women.
